We now have a 24hr vet in Cairns. For many years, after hours emergencies were handled by local vet clinics who shared a rotational roster to cover after hours emergencies. This was not an ideal situation as vets and clinic staff already work extensively long hours and when you combine that with emergencies that happen after hours, it means that clinic staff were not getting enough rest and down time.

We are now very lucky to have a dedicated After Hours Vet Surgery for all the after hours pet emergencies that happen when we are not open. For local vets it means we can rest assured that your pets can receive emergency treatment outside of our normal clinic hours.

Here at Edmonton Vet Clinic we operate Monday to Friday 8.30am to 6pm and Saturday 8.30am – 12 midday. We aim to treat all our patients during those times but we know that our furry friends can get themselves into trouble at the oddest times so are happy to be able to refer our clients to the only 24hr vet in Cairns, Cairns Emergency Vets, for all emergency and after hours issues.

For all other treatments we continue to offer our high quality of service and care in our state of the art clinic. We also offer the convenience of online bookings so that you can book your appointments with us, quickly and easily.
