In a recent press release from the Australian Veterinary Association they delve deeper into the cost of veterinary care. “Veterinary care makes up only a small part of the total cost of pet ownership. “Vet care accounts for just 14% of overall pet-related spending. This is less than a fifth of what Australians spend on their pets each year,” Dr Chuck said, with remaining spend on food, toys, grooming and associated services.”
